Retime Tool

The Retime tool allows you to adjust the timing of your captions. Use it to precisely time selected words or phrases to match the audio.

How to use the Retime tool

There are two ways to use the Retime tool:

Retime selected captions

1. Click on the Retime tool icon in the toolbar.
2. Select the captions you want to retime in the transcript editor.
3. Click Start Retiming.
4. Brevidy creates retime layers for the selected captions in Premiere.
5. Drag the retime layers to match the audio.
6. Click Confirm to save your changes or Cancel to discard them.

Timeline Editor

1. Click on the Retime tool icon in the toolbar.
2. Click Open Timeline Editor.
3. Use the timeline editor for frame-level word edits against the sequence playhead.
