Brevidy's Autocut feature allows you to automatically cut your long-form content into bite-sized social clips. Choose an AI model to analyze your video and identify the viral worthy moments. Then, it automatically cuts the clips into new sequences, ready for you to edit and share.
Autocut works best on long-form content such as interviews, podcasts, and streams.
Autocutting Long-Form Content
- Open the sequence with the long-form content you want to autocut.
- Set the in and out points in the timeline for the section you want to autocut.
- Click the
Autocutbutton in the Brevidy panel. - Brevidy will open a new window where you can select the transcription settings, caption preset you want to use, the aspect ratio, the layout, the
AI Model, and any additional actions. - Inside of the actions you can choose to remove silences, add auto suggested emojis and add auto suggested stock footage.
- Click
Createto automatically cut the selected section into bite-sized clips. - Brevidy will create a new sequence and add a caption track for each clip.
Choosing an AI Model
After transcription, Autocut uses the selected AI Model to analyze your transcript and identify the best clip-worthy moments. You can choose from several models in the Autocut window:
- GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.2 — OpenAI models with strong general reasoning
- Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Opus 4.7 — Anthropic's most capable models (Opus 4.8 is the default)
- Claude Sonnet 4.6 — A faster Anthropic option with a good balance of speed and quality
- Gemini 3.1 Pro and Gemini 3.5 Flash — Google's models for clip analysis
- Grok 4.20 — xAI's model
- DeepSeek V4 Flash — A fast, cost-effective option
Your selection is saved for future Autocut jobs. If you are unsure which to use, start with the default Claude Opus 4.8 and try others if you want different results.
