The Main Text section is where you can adjust the styling of the main text in your captions. These styles will apply to all text in the caption block, but will be overridden by the Active Text and Highlight Text styles.

Fonts

Family

The font family of the main text. These contain all the fonts locally installed on your machine.

Style

The style of the font. Typical options are Regular, Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic.

Alignment

This feature is only available in Premiere Pro 2025 and later.
The paragraph alignment of the text. You can choose from:
  • Left: Aligns text to the left margin
  • Center: Centers text between margins
  • Right: Aligns text to the right margin

Leading

The leading is the space between lines of text. Adjusting this will increase or decrease the space between lines.

Tracking

The tracking is the space between characters. Adjusting this will increase or decrease the space between characters.

Case

The text case is the capitalization of the text. You can choose from Lowercase, Normal, and Uppercase.

Color

The color of the main text. You can choose from a color picker or enter a hex code.

Stroke

Width

The width of the stroke around the text.
