The paragraph tool allows you to control the quantity of lines and the amount of characters per line. Additionally, it allows you to manually control how words are broken up in your captions.

Controlling the amount of lines

The paragraph tool allows you to control the amount of lines in your caption block. You can adjust the Lines slider to increase or decrease the number of lines in the each block.

Controlling the amount of characters

The paragraph tool allows you to control the amount of characters per line in your caption block. You can adjust the Characters slider to increase or decrease the number of characters in each line.

Manual Adjustments

You can manually control how words are broken up in your captions.

Add a line break

To add a line break, simply click on a word in the middle of a line. This will create a new line with the word you clicked on.

Combine lines

To combine lines, click on the right side of the word at the end of the first line and or the left side of the word at the beginning of the second line. This will combine the two lines into one.

Move lines to new block

You can also break lines out into separate blocks by clicking on the left side of the word at the beginning of the top line. This will create a new block with the line you clicked on. You can also click on the right side of the word at the beginning of the bottom line to create a new block.

Format captions

By using the Format Captions button, you can automatically format your captions for legibility. It will split up sentences and speaker changes into separate blocks. This is useful for long captions that are hard to read.
